Just moved back to Texas with more time to fish.  Anyone have experience with stripers and hybrids.  Anyplace from the Red River to the coast.  Preferably in rivers.

If you are looing a fishing place in texas than you should go at conroe lack. Fishing at this lack provides unique fishing experience around the bullheaded shoreline. As this lack is one the most beautiful lack in texas.

I have had great luck on stripers in Lake Texoma, most recently a couple of months ago.

I don’t know the specifics of striper fishing in Texas but I do know stripers here in Georgia.

Biggest fly-caught striper in Texas was a 36+ lb fish taken on a big, dark leech streamer from the Guadalupe River (in the midst of the tailwater trout fishery).

Usually, Texas Parks and Wildlife gets their brood stripers for their striper hatchery program from the Colorado River below Lake Livingston.
