    I was out bass fishing in the kayak today and caught this one in the weeds.

    While I was out, I saw a bunch of carp in the shallows.

    Nice fish!

    Now as for carp, I’ve had limited success only when they were feeding and that was with large nymphs drifted right by them. Don’t know when they spawn in your part of the country, but I’m sure if you stripped a minnow pattern by them you might have provoked a strike or two.

    Superbuggers are about the most reliable carp fly I’ve found.

    Man, that looks like fun!

    Do you happen to have a picture of that superbugger fly?

    I see carp pretty regularly while smallmouth fishing around the Potomac, I really want to try to get one of those ugly bastards…
