    Sorry guys, on that river it’s a tactic unlikely to work, unless the sea-runs are in.

    Ay, thanks for all the advice guys, it seems to have payed off.
    Long long leader, lighter tippet, something a little different and alot of stealth. Bagged myself 3 of these fellas:

    Ah cool! Thanks Clark. It will come in handy – yesterdays fish took a pheasant tail nymph, with an ICE dub thorax, and CDC legs, under a ZAK nymph, under a CDC Caddis.

    Good One Daryl nice work.
    A question for the counrty singin’, kingie fighting , Sage weilding Clark…. with small dries and spookie brownies,you talked about the shine off the tippett / leader material, have you ever had to resort to sanding tippett down to take the shine off it ??

    I use a leader sinkant usually which helps. but if the material is particularly shiny then just a

    Thanks Oh Knowlegeable one…I have been using some Loon snake river mud leader sinkant lately but it takes 3-4 applications before it works effectively…..
