Colin, I used this one very similar and loved it. (It got stolen)
I can see by the image that it works much the same. That notch in the side means that it will shoot straight down for bug shots or portrait at 90 degrees. The trigger system is easy and fast and holds tight.
If it works as well as the Manfrotto – you’ll love it.
