MemberI am looking for recommendations on any instructional videos for fishing streamers. Another thread on this forum turned up a couple of books on streamers (Galloup and Joseph Bates) but I am looking for a video. I know Kelly Galloup has one. Anyone seen it and have any thoughts on it? Are there other videos worth watching? Thanks!

MemberShane,
Best advice I can give is take a trip to Utah, hook up with a guy named Corey, and presto you are in to some of the biggest browns you may have ever caught in your life!
I would take any and ALL advice Corey gives on streamer fishing! Man Knows what he is talking about.

MemberHaha! Thanks Kalvin .. It was a damn good time! I’m gonna defer to the fish being willing participants though! 😉
Eric: As far as fly tying goes I’m not the most experienced or best … So, I learned quite a bit from the DVD and would give it a big thumbs up.

MemberI must be missing something here.
Is there really a whole differnt technique?
I have just done some different things with mine, but I may not be thinking along the same lines with some of my wolly booger small streamers as you guys are with some larger streamers, even articulated.Jan 14, 2009 at 1:54 pm #32736regan c. kenyon jr.
MemberI have the Oliver Edwards video. Â Its ok. Â Nice because he’s wading and fishing a big freestone stream like what you might fish here on the East Coast, but there’s really no great hints or anything in it. Â Its geared toward British fishermen, and from the sounds of it, they never streamer fish. Â So its much more of a primer than anything else. Â I don’t know that I would bother unless you really don’t have any idea where to start.

MemberKelly’s DVD is a good instructional video on the technique and fly selection.

The Itinerant AnglerCrazy as it sounds, the only fly fishing video I ever felt I learned from was Wendell (“Ozzy”) Ozovich’s underwater videos of trout feeding, breeding, and protecting their territory.
