Excellent video on a topic that too often goes “under the radar.”
I hate to get all introspective, but what does this say about our society?
Well they are really paying the 15K so they can hang it on their wall, not so they can shoot it like a styrofoam target (which is what they are doing, you are right).
We need to send this to Tred Barta Long Bow Wooden Arrow Big Mouth, but a sportman who believes in fair chase. Maybe he would go kick Jimmy Houstons fish kissing ass!

Correct, but he also thinks he can be an “expert” flyfisherman just whenever he wants based on a few blue water records he has.
Carter, I heard he caught a Great Jaguar shark, a higly abnormal shark-like fish, about 10 meters in length on the long rod.
Yes Tred has been bashing the “Quiet Sport”. He caught a salmon on a 3 wt. trolled in the zone by a outrigger on last weeks show. He is loud and obnoxious. He stalked and stuck a grizzly with a camera crew and that takes balls. Now thats hunting! I watched Chris Dorsey shoot a grizzly in Russia from a tree stand over a planted oat field. Whats the point? Tred is like the guy who fishes only bamboo and dry flies I can respect both.
Man I don’t know who Tred Barta is and I’m pretty vague on Jimmy Houston, too, but the subject of that video is weak!
And more importantly they are exactly right.
I don’t know who these Barta or Houston characters are either and I completely agree with you Zach in that the video is WEAK!!
I think every animal or fish for that matter deserves to be treated with respect. They all serve a purpose on this great planet and if they are going to be harvested for food then they should be able to die in a more dignified manner. I am all for a fair hunt! But nothing pisses me off more than when an animal is illegally killed or when it is shamelessly shot as this deer was in this video! Makes me sick to see that kind of crap. I wonder if guys like that would like to go down like that? Think not!!!!The hard the Barta way………. In this context sounds more than a little kinky.
Maybe he needs to call that ex-congressman in florida.It would be interesting to hear the stories they tell people when they see the head on the wall and ask how they shot it.
