Its always good to be shown these things first hand. If you have a club near you that holds fly tying evenings, or a shop with tying seminars – go and have a look. Failing that, DVD’s are real good (the added bonus is you can pause them…) and of course, books that have step-by-step instructions. Get the best tools you can afford, and invest in quality materials. These all help you become a better tyer. The internet is a good source of information and there are several sites where you can download movies and step-by-step tying instructions. Good luck!
