    I’ll guess that the dragonfly “ate” or attempted to mate with the bugger in mid air.

    Tim, I wish I had a great story to go along with the photo but it is actually kind of boring. I teasing brown trout along a deep rip rap bank and popped my bugger up about six inches on the bank and pulled it back into the water and must have hooked the dragon fly in the process. It was a perfect hook set though! I got him dead center in the abdomen and on a barbless hook too!

    It isnt uncommon at Taneycomo to have your fly snatched out of the air at night by a hungry bat.
