In another thread I’ve mentioned how long its been since Ive managed to shoot with decent light. On the odd occassion theres actually been some sun, I havent managed to find anything worth pointing the camera at. Its been a very frustrating and dissapointing winter 🙁

So I’m digging into the archives to share a few pics I haven’t posted here before.
The wolves are “semi” domesticated and trace their roots to Michigan. Its not like what you’d find in a zoo but not entirely free either. They are part of “preserve” and for the most part are free ranging limited only by the enclosure that surrounds their 15 acre tract. Human “interference” is minimal and is more of a scientific study rather than “display”.

All shots were taken with a 180mm Macro and through 1 inch of glass. Forewarning the day I spent watching them I was fortunate enough to be present able to observe their behavior during their once weekly feed (Beaver). Some mild gore in a couple images.

    A little play fight

    Enjoying the sun.
