Hey guys-

As you probably know, I am the editor of American Angler’s FYI section.

How about the top 10 local names for pools, runs or other stream or lake features. For instance, on the Winooski River here in Vermont we have a JunkYard Pool named for the nearby landfill and motor vehicle final resting place, and a Motorcycle Pool named for the drowned Yamaha residing on the bottom. There is also the Grand Union Grocery Store Pool in Montpelier named for – well you know…. We have great streams through some towns and villages in our narrow valleys. Though not idyllic, the fishing can be great in these spots.

Hi Zach
Have just returned to the forums after an extended absence. Took almost two years to remember that flyfishing always takes priority over work. Before I go any further, thank you for setting up this board. I like your animated header!

In my opinion I think the most overlooked area for busting a flyrod on large stripers is the entire southern coast of Maine.
