We have been hammered with snow the last couple of weeks.  I took some time off of work intending to hit the local rivers, but have spent most of the time in the house, and shoveling.  I think that we have had close to 35 inches of snow since Dec 20.  I don’t mind fishing in the snow….but blizzard conditions I have to draw the line at.  Went snowshoeing and I’ve had some time to tie a couple of flies and try to organize some gear.

Hopefully we get a break soon…I’m needing to hit the water and throw some midges.

Poudre, I feel for ya. This has been a freak year for us. I am usually in the same boat as you by now. The good thing is that you can be fairly certain of having the water to yourself.

Poudre you can send some of that snow my way if you want! All we are getting in Montana right now is freezing ass cold and then it warms up only to rain and freeze hard again. If it’s going to be winter I would just as soon have snow so I can go play in it!

The ice fishing has been pretty good though.
