    Hi All!
Well, Delta (dal) is trying to gouge me for 50k skymiles on a roundtrip flight from Knoxville (tys) to Bozeman, MT (bzn)–so, I’m shopping around to see what go ole cash will do these days! (the trip was only 25k miles last September)

Where have you folks had the most success in your search for airline tickets??

    best ones!

    Lou,

I fly to MT every summer from ATL. Historically, I get the best deal flying into Billings vs. Bozeman. I don’t seem to get BZN on sale anymore. I bought ATL – BIL last week for $277 plus junk fees on Northwest. That sale has been taken off the website. I booked through their site http://www.nwa.com.

I also use a really neat airfare search engine called http://www.sidestep.com . It searches most major airlines as well as Orbitz and a few others. Try to travel on a Saturday for the best deals. Sidestep lists the following on Northwest for July/August departures.

    TYS-BIL for $519 plus junk
    TYS-BZN for $522 plus junk
    TYS-BZN for $534 plus junk

    Hope this helps.

    Drifter –

Are those numbers round trip or one way?

Coming from Europe my best fair is flying to Calgary, renting a car & drive down to MT.
Getting a flight from Calgary to MT sucks. The tickets are impossibly expensive…

I fly almost every week for work, and a flight into MT is ALWAYS the most expensive ticket I purchase.

I fly into Denver a lot and can usually get a round trip out of Atlanta or Nashville for 200 0r 250 then rent a car and head up to Wyoming. You could fish some in Wyoming and head up into MT. The difference in airfare would probably cover your car rental.
