Ok, I’ve read a ton of books. They can teach how to meter, how to compensate, even how to post process it.
None of them teach you how to avoid having your AF grab snowflakes instead of your subject.

Speaking of lessons.
This squirrel isn’t the brightest the brightest Christmas light in the tree. I’m thinking he or she is in need of some life lessons..Providing of coarse he or she lives long enough to learn them.
