In order to give some of my EP fibers a little more pizazz, I thought I would color them up.

I use Sharpie permanent markers and pens all the time.  They work fine for adding color and stripes.  They will fade over time, but not before the fly gives out anyway.  I’ve never had a fish complain about the smell.

They work about about 30 times better than prisma color markers as far as bleeding goes.

FYI all the big crafts stores sell prisma color markers too, usually a buck or so cheaper too.

Our local Hobby Lobby carries prismas, as well as a ton of Sharpie colors.

Any decent art shop will carry the prisma colors too, tim.

You can judge a man by the size of things which annoy him.

I use markers a lot – to color tying thread, dubbing, rubber legs, wire, yarn, etc…
