Anyone know where I can score some of those flexible double-sided razorblades?

I get mine at Walmart. Walgreens has them too.

Nice enough fly, I guess, but given the thread title, a pretty disappointing picture.

Sex Dungeons are alright, I suppose…

    Zach,
Most pharmacies carry them. Alternatly you could try an electric beard/mustache trimmer. I have used the one we have for grooming dogs when trying to mass produce sculpins with fairly effective results.

Kelly Galloup’s pattern names always crack me up.  I’ve been tying a few of these here and there lately, although yesterday I had to switch over to Trout Crack for my upcoming Arkansas trip.  I hadn’t posted any fly pics in a long while so I thought I’d put this up.  The new iPhone does a good job of macro photography.

Anyone know where I can score some of those flexible double-sided razorblades?  I’m trimming these with scissors and it’s a pain in the ass.

Check on Amazon- better than wal-mart http://www.amazon.com/s?ie=UTF8&tag=mozilla-20&index=blended&link_code=qs&field-keywords=double%20edged%20razor%20blades&sourceid=Mozilla-search
I got the sharp ones, I actually shave with them too and they work great.

    Andrew,
Just think about Hiefer Groomers, no picture necessary.

I buy the flexible, double sided razor blades at the local dollar store for…..you guessed it……a dollar a pack. 2 blades in the box.

I love those flies…wish I had a use for them down in ‘ole Florida.

I use an electric beard trimmer and as long as I concentrate on what I’m doing and don’t drink too much Patagonian wheat brew at the tying bench it works great.

Hahaha, an average day in Justin’s back yard is like a once in a lifetime trip for most of us!

Yeah- Justin’s photos make me want to take a long trip. Come to think of it, there are a few board members here that really make me want to visit new places.

Ok so I caught this post and I tried my hand at the sex dungeon. This is the first one:

Then with a bit of experimentation I decided that the spun deer hair did two things to the fly that I didn’t like. First it made it take longer to tie, second it also made it sink slower, so I replaced it with palmers chenille. On both flies I made it so that the hooks rode up in the water. I found that this allowed me to run the bottom without getting hung as often. So here is gen 2:

So far the results have been acceptable

Peter that second one is really solid man.
