I have a nice little waterproof P&S by Panasonic, takes good pics, doesn’t mind being dunked, but like most of it’s kind, has no viewfinder so it’s hard to use in bright sunlight.
I recently discovered this gadget called a Clearviewer, it allows you to put your eye right up to lens on the back and see the LCD in brilliant magnification, the corners are a little iffy, but if you move your eye a bit, everything is there and you can shield any unwanted bright light with your hand. Solves the problem quite well, folds flat, and only $35.

Can you use it with a tripod? Where did you buy it?

    Thanks,

For being able to see LCD in bright sun light, try a Hoodman loop.

You can use a tripod, there’s a mounting hole in the base. To buy one Clearviewer.com. One other nice thing is you can use it with polarized glasses even when using a CPL.
