    Anyone out there used or own a Scott V2 5 wt? I have the itch for a Scott rod. I’m kind of picky though. I don’t like super fast rods and I like my trout rods to have a wood insert. So I think that leaves out all of the Scott rods except the G2 and the V2. I’ve seen many posts praising the G2 but it’s more expensive than the V2 of course.

    I have a V2 9 ft. 4 piece six weight.

    Greg,

    I would definately look at the two piece rods if # of pieces is not an issue.

    Thanks for the info and advise. The only Scott I’ve cast is one of the old G’s that a friend of mine has. I do like it but prefer something a bit faster.

    I’ve seen those eagle claw grangers on ebay and wondered if they were decent rods.
