I headed south to finally meet up with a couple of guys that I’ve been planning to fish with for a long time now (one of them being Stu Hastie). It seems like either the weather or life always wants to intervene when we try to get together, and this time was no different. We had grand plans of a 3-day raft trip, but Mother Nature decided she had other ideas. We got to the put-in and were met with wind that would give Wyoming a run for its money accompanied by a hearty dose of rain. Instead of committing to 3 days of getting blown all over the river in the raft and risking getting into a hairy situation with rising water, we flagged the raft trip and improvised for a couple days.
We ultimately had a great time, hooked some fish, saw some beautiful water, and had plenty of laughs. My camera stayed safely in its dry bag for most of the trip, but here are a few scenes from along the way.

Likely the only sign in the world that says this:

I was planning on shooting photos non-stop all weekend, but it ended up quite the opposite. However, Stu was nice enough to walk me through some of the photography that he’s been up to lately, field plenty of my photography questions, and let me test out some of his gadgets.
