Zach, this past weekend at the Conclave I saw a tier that bought a cheap grill rotisserie motor and converted it to a rotary dryer. He said it cost less than $20 for the whole setup. He had about 50 popper boddies on the dryer! I am going to Walmart tonight to check it out and will let you know.
Zach,
The one I use is a small, portable unit from Orvis that runs on two D batts. The foam wheel is not as big as what Neal described, but I can get a dozen on it at one time. I believe it retails for $50. I have not used it as much recently though because I started to use Rio’s knot sense and a small UV light. That set-up has been just as effective in getting the results I want; plus, it is much faster and less of a pain as mixing the epoxies is now unnecessary.

I made one out of a “Mini Mirror Ball Turner” I bought from an equivilent site to ebay for a few dollars. Made a drying wheel by adapting a CD spindle with foam and was in business. It’s mains powered and works a treat!
I bought a rotisserie motor at the Depot for $8. The box had been opened and taped back. Who knows if all the parts were there….I only needed the motor. Works like a charm and turns at the correct speed.
It runs off two D-cells and will run for days on the 2 batteries.
