I have the Clouser line for my 8 weight S3 it does load the rod well with a moderate amount of line out. It handles weighted flies well but I still get some kick over. I am going to ty up some Clouser/Lefty Kreh style leader out of Maxima and see if it helps things roll out a little smoother. Anyone have a good leader formula for heavy flies? David, I have been using a furled leader for the past couple of trips and I can say it’s very good at turning over small chickens. 😉 The Lefty Kreh leader formula works great but, they furled leader looks like it’s works just as well if not better. Dub out….
