MemberSo far spent my time fishing with dad. He’s not doing well, quite possible our last time sticking fins together. I apoligize for not hooking up with those of you from this site-this trip. My dad’s health is slipping and I needed to make it happen with him. Also I’m sorry for photo quality, they we’re taken with our PDAs.
Day One, we rowed the Upper St. Croix.

Dad at the oars.

Bad photo, but thumper of a smallmouth, none-the-less.

Day two, couldn’t have asked for a better day.

South Fork – Skinny water Brook trout stream.

Middle fork – Brown trout water

Lower Section – you never know what you will catch.

Day 3, Mississippi.

To come; son, father, and grandson fishing the stream, where my dad taught me how to fish.

A picture is thousand words that takes less than a second while a thousand words is a picture that takes a month.

David – brookies were small. A monster was 8 inches. We didn’t stick around very long.
Paul – will see you tomorrow.
Tim – Catching a flight today to meet Paul – I’ll be back in August, I’m going to organize a meet and fish at my folks house in Stillwater area. Sorry didn’t work out this time. Here are some shots of my father, my son, and myself fishing on the stream where I learned to fish. I’m sorry for photo quality, the PDA has been dropped a few times at this point.
Hudson looking cool.
Version 2.5 getting it done.
Grandpa and Grandson doing it old school, swinging a wetfly.
And the hookup

The hero shot

The release

Second Fish, this one on a caddis.
The release

Most likely, the last time all three of us will ever fish together again.
BlackBerry is dead from being dropped in the water too many times and it’s time to go home. Next week, live from Yellowstone. Sigining off, from Minnesota.
