The photos are great, though they are a little two dimensional. Try adding a second light, as a side or back light to seperate the wings from the background. If you are using a Nikon or Canon with off camera TTL flash, it’s an easy thing to do. If you’re shooting manual flash, you’ll have to play with the settings to get just the right amount of highlight.
I’ll look through my macro files and see if I can find an example for you, I used to shoot bugs a thousand years ago when I was still shooting Kodachrome.
Other then that, how about putting the laymen names with the flies for us that don’t understand all that scientific stuff?
