    Yeah, I built the 9′ 5 wt. 4 pc. last year.

    Carter I’ve built quite a few rods mostly spinning and casting on Batson blanks and I loved them! I would still be building on them but they sold out a perfectly brand new factory in WA and went overseas to make their blanks. Since then, I don’t buy them. I know they are still great blanks and I know they are great people to deal with but you gota stand for something and I chose this.

    Give Dan Craft Five Rivers blanks a look sometime. The FT is a rocket for around $120. You might get put on a waiting list as I just looked and several are backordered. I guess it must be building season.

    The first rod I built was on a Rainshadow Xcel (IM8) 6wt blank.
