Bill Oyster’s a well-known cane rodmaker who does beautiful work, but probably his greatest skill is as a teacher. He’s building a new shop in beautiful downtown Blue Ridge, Georgia, and that shop is going to be one of a kind. Part factory, part school, part inn; it’s likely to become one of the great fly-fishing meccas of the northern hemisphere. Tune in to catch this unique individual and his exciting plan for the future of cane rods.

I really look forward to listening to this one.  I’ve always admired Mr. Oysters work.

I have really enjoyed the last few podcasts Zach. Nice work as usual. Can you tell me who did the music for the Cane Rod School show?

    David –

It so happens I have been keeping a list.  This is the track name then the artist then the album.  All of them are from Hearth Music.

“Cane Rod School with Bill Oyster” – “Paul and Silas,” Frank Solivan and Dirty Kitchen, Frank Solivan And Dirty Kitchen; “Satisfied Mind”, Caleb Klauder, Western Country

Bill is a solid dude. He built me a 6’6 3wt in his “guide series” that he unfortunately no longer makes. That was probably five or six years ago
and I think the wait time was 30 days, a lot has changed since then… 😉
