For those fishing for pike what setup do you use from the fly line to the fly? 20# mono with titanium leaders? I’m just getting started researching this for a 5 day canoe trip in Voyageurs National Park (northern MN) this summer.

For casting the Fluorocarbon is great, for the teeth the steel is best.

I usually use a 4 to 7 foot 50/100 mono leader and a 1 foot steel leader. Use as flixible steel leader as you can find, the less flex the sooner it just breaks. Lee mentioned they are not leader shy and will take youre fly not only for food but also as an intruder that invades the terretory.
