MemberSome shots from last weekend with Corey and Tim around Yellowstone.
First day, fishing the Madison above Quake.

Sunrise on the Madison at Baker’s Hole Campground. To bad everyone else was sleeping, i could have really used a someone to pose in the river!

Day 2, hiking into Lake X for Goldens.

Lake X

14 kt Gold!

Packing up.

The hike out was almost as pretty as the fish.

So this might be the shot i am most excited about. We were on our way bak to town, and i see a guy pull over ahead of us, i slow up, and spot this guy in the grass along the road. After some super fast lens changes, i jumped out and got a few off before he hit the woods.

Fishing somewhere near Middle Earth.

Walking out on the Nez Perce.

On the last morning, i had to be at the airport by 12, but got up early to be in the park at sunrise hoping for some good photo ops. I was not disappointed.

So the fishing was great, the catching could have been better, but it was a ton of fun none the less.

MemberMike.. haha. your name was mentioned a few times as we struggled on the Firehole.. as in “We should call Mike” and “If Mike can catch fish here, we should be able to”. Just kidding on the last one… kinda.
Here’s a couple more and the food shots i almost forgot.
More from the Nez Perce

The birthplace of the Zoo Cougar, Sex Dungeon, and other aptly named flies… Galloup’s Bench.

One of the best pieces of beef i ever had, or maybe it was that i hadn’t eaten all day. Probably both.

Tim’s Burger, served Grizzly Bar style.

Haven’t been on the Firehole yet this fall because the fishing locally has been so good. But October will put the above praise to the test as I plan on being on the Firehole with friends and relatives most of my free days until the end of the season. I hope I can live up to the hype ::) Thanks Eric.
