My first pair of RiverWalkers just blew out with a little over a years worth of usage. (This post is not about their durability…although I was not impressed)

Easily the most comfortable wading boot I have owned.

Anyway..returned them to Patagonia for new pair and asked for the new pair to be the new Sticky Sole instead of studded felt.

I don’t have any experience with them, but I’ve been thinking of investing in a pair.

    Yes…buy one size larger.

I got a pair that I have used for almost two years now. Have had no problems with them. I love the fit of them as well. I have used them on all sorts of river bottom without an issue. I also use them in the winter and had no problems with icy and muddy banks.

Mark, you should be fine on your actual size, I also have their Marlwalkers and use the same size as my standard shoe. However you will want to check the thickness of your neoprene stocking feet, this will have an impact on the size of boots you need. Plus remember its best to have some room so that your feet can breath.

I’ve worn a pair of LL. Beam AquaSteath studded boats for the last four years and love them.

I do a fair amount of Salmon and Steelhead fishing here in Michigan, so the idea I like best about the rubber soles is that the snow shouldn’t stick to them quite as bad as felt.
