Took the fam to the Laurel Highlands today.  Creeks are in great shape, cold, full of fish and easy on the kids.

    Nice!

Great photos and a beautiful fish. What kinda box is your daughter wearing?  Is that one of those Joe Humphries jobs?

    Zach,

Thanks!  It was a great day.  Going back to another old haunt Wednesday to do it all over again.

The box is called a FYE box,  This is the predecessor to the Rex Richardson Chest Fly box.  Ronald Fye built the first ones for George Harvey in Hollidaysburg, PA.  This one in particular is my brookie box- all attractors, all the time and ONLY dry flies!  It is a 1951, two tray model with original straps.  This is the box that Joe Humphreys uses, but in a 4 or 5 tray. I also have a 1960s model, signed by Rex Richardson and is a 4 tray in black.  They are very nice, and in PA they are a staple.
You can read all about them here:

These are the ones I own currently.  I had a few others in the past that I regrettably sold.

A real Fye! I’m green with envy! Great shot of your daughter. You’re creating a fishing buddy for life.
