I was on the family pond this morning chasing the rumor of a 13 plus pound largemouth bass caught a couple of weeks ago on hardware. So I left the light bluegill stick at the house and stuck with the six weight chucking out long casts with clousers, chennile worms, and deer hair poppers hoping to entice one up…and this is the first fish of the day caught…what a fiesty overachiever…the fly was nearly half as long as he was…
And no…nothing caught measured in pounds on this day… Personal best on the fly is an eight pound largemouth bass caught a few summers back on this same pond.
