    Are there any other Malcolm Gladwell fans out there? I found a cool interview with him on goodreads.com about his new book Outliers. I might need to pick this one up. He has some interesting ideas about simplicity in writing. His basic premise is that you should write so a 14 year old can understand it.

    I like his philosphy. It seems the trend in “literary” writing is to write long sentences with many clauses. This kind of writing drives me crazy, though I certainly believe it’s important for a writer to vary the length of his/her sentences.
