Out West Trip Suggestions…

Well…I’ve mentioned in the past about an upcoming trip to Maine this fall with a couple of friends, including PoudreRiver, but one of our members just took a job in California and he will be driving across country from Ohio in August. We have decided it might be just as well to meet up on his route westward and spend four or five days fishing.
Looking for some good suggestions for fly fishing a few really neat places in the Southern Wyoming area that would be good the first two weeks of August. Laramie, Wyoming may be our meeting point. Also looking for cabin or lodging information as well. We haven’t ruled out Northern Utah, Northern Colorado, or other locals that are close to our friend’s route West.
Here are a few things that are important to us so far…
Greenish mountain area over the high prairie or what we have called fly fishing on the surface of the moon (Alcova/Grey Reef area).
Not worried about fish size…but would like to catch a few each day.
We’re cool with rivers and alpine lakes.
Looking for beautiful locations to enjoy for five or so days of fly fishing.
Any assistance is appreciated.
