Went out on Saturday, and by the time I returned to my truck the sole on my right wading boot was just barely hanging on. The toe on my left boot is about worn clear through. This afternoon I will try to repair them with glue and duct tape, but I doubt that will hold for long, so I need a new pair of wading boots.

So does anyone know of a good pair of boots that are on clearance. I know that a lot of companies have came up with new models and some are getting closed out. Any suggestions, would be nice.

I found a pair of Simms Freestones on the interent for under $50 and free shipping, anyone have experience with these boots?

Since you can’t wait too long for some of the older Simms models to go on clearance I would go ahead and get the Freestones. My mom needed a new pair of boots a month ago and she got some Freestones for around that price on clearance. She loves the way they feel and while she doesn’t fish too hard I have always heard they are rock solid.

    Clint,

I have several friends who use the Freestones and they have held up pretty darn well.

    Freestones will last forever.

I use the Freestones and love them, that is a heckuva deal.

Spencer… Thanks for the offer, but take my advice and keep them as a backup pair. Then you won’t get stranded like I am.

Lando… You know I will if I have to. On second thought, frostbitten toes could put me out of the game for even longer so maybe I will have to wait.
