    I’m really thinking about buying one of the Orvis Superfine Troutbum series 7′ 4wt rods, just wanted to see if anyone here has one and what you think.

    I think they are nice.
    But if you are looking for a softish rod, you might take a look at fiberglass rods too.

    IMO, short rods for those limestoners is the silliest thing ever.

    I spent about 30 minutes test casting a 7’6″ 3wt a few months back and it was a really nice casting rod.

    John,

    I have an older Superfine. I love it for small streams. I heard the new Superfines are a bit faster;
    so you might like one over the other.
