    Anybody have any knowledge of the Orvis Streamline rod? I was thinking of picking up a couple to put away for the grandkids, Sierra has some for 57.50.

    I don’t know anything about that rod, but I do like the quality I have seen in the USA made Orvis rods. IMO they are crafted as good as any from what I have seen. I am a big Orvis fan and I can’t help it. This week I plan to buy a 10 wt Battenkill BBS with a free spare spool. The BBS 10 wt is only 5.oz where the reel I use now is about 10oz.

    I cast the 8.5′ 4wt Streamline some time ago. Keeping the fact that I like bamboo rods in mind, I like it. Very smooth, resonable action — unlike some of the telephone poles on the market, a novice could actually feel what’s going on with the tip.
