Fished the Sandy above Gordon Creek last week, just prior to the temps dropping. Got one take at the big tailout just above the creek. Saw a few people out, but not many. All were gear chuckers, except for two guys with spey rods. No one had seen any fish, although they are there. The clarity was pretty good and the river level was OK. After this week of cold weather, things should look up if we get some rain next week.

For those of you on the other side of the Continental Divide, now is the time to consider a trip to the NW. No one is on the rivers and the first salmon were reported in the Columbia this week. We have almost started what looks to be on OK spring season.
