    What was (is) your favorite line for you old Scott G series 905-4?

    Did you go to a little heavier 5 wt to accent the medium action ?  Or???

    I am using a Rio Gold and it seems like a great match to me.

    I use a Rio Classic in either WF or DT depending in the line size.

    Mine actually is a 8’4″ #5 but I personally like short rods.

    John,

    You are correct that the GPX is almost a full line weight heavier.
