    Hi guys,
After reading Tims NZ part 2 report I thought I’d drop a few pics in here myself. It looks like Tim had some better weather than I did. Toward the end of January we had some really crap weather which just happened to coincide with my week off!
From the same general area as Tim was in for his part 2 report. Luckily we weren’t tenting. πŸ˜‰

    Nice shots.
I like the way you’ve included the bad weather and also that the shots haven’t had tons of post production.
A couple favorites are the silhouetted nymph and the private moment between fly and real beetle.

A picture is thousand words that takes less than a second while a thousand words is a picture that takes a month.

    Thanks guys. πŸ™‚

I’m starting a Photoshop course next week, so I’ll have a better idea of what I’m doing post production. Generally I’m just too lazy to do anything other than tweek the exposure or white balance :-[

Nice report Stu! Seeing the pictures just gets me that much more excited about my trip down there at the end of March!

Sorry Zach, I missed your post. Those are Manuka beetles. Plenty of them around during Dec-Jan. Natural bling. πŸ™‚

    More natural bling. 😎

I was hoping to have a flick with the cane, but I don’t think P-A was too keen on getting it out in the weather.
