This is the kind of technical stuff I appreciate and for those of you with Nikon DSLR cameras it is invaluable. It lists the nikon zoom lenses in both Dx and Fx format and also converts the “effective focal length” for the lenses on Dx sensors.  Furthermore, it details which lenses are amateur vs pro quality.  This is a great reference in general even if you shoot with Canon or other systems because it helps to wrap your mind around the word-soup often associated with lenses.

That is a good reference, but taken with a small grain of salt – the small annotations at the end of the ranges contain some wishful thinking as far as lenses being updated, and VR on a 17-55? … hardly necessary. shannon
