Joel ThompsonMemberOne thing I forgot to mention about the trip all. There is a MUST SEE New Zealand movie out there that I had never heard of before. It is called “Black Sheep” and it is freakin hilarious! The only thing I am going to tell you about the movie is think Mutant Sheep!

Having been to UnZud, but not seen the movie, I would have guessed it was of an adult nature.. 😉 ;D

A picture is thousand words that takes less than a second while a thousand words is a picture that takes a month.

clark reidMemberYes! What a great post, Joel. I haven’t read the whole novel yet; just looking at the pictures though you can tell this was an amazing trip. And I must compliment you on your photos – excellent job throughout with some great stuff in there.
I have to point to one, however:

Simon! I really appreciate you representing with the IA tee shirt. I am just not quite sure how to feel about what you covered it up with. 😀 Hahahahah.
Joel I saw another IA shirt in there as well as a Fiberglass Manifesto shirt. Well done indeed!
Zach
Yeah Simon… and they critisise my fashion sense… you been hanging with Tripney too long 😀
Great Report Joel.

Joel ThompsonMemberHere is a link to view a trailer from the movie “Black Sheep”. http://www.blacksheep-themovie.com/
I wish I had a copy of it to watch right now as it is snowing AGAIN here in Montana. They are calling for over a foot in the high country today with even more coming tonight. The snow pack is looking great again this year so the fishing should be great as well. That said I really wish I was in NZ right now chasing trout in the sun….

MemberHey Joel,
What a great tale mate. well done.
Now you know why we Aussies head there as often as possible.Simon is a wag hey , but as you say he is generous to a fault.
I was talking to a mate in Queenstown yesterday , and the warm sunny fishing is all but finished , morning frosts are becoming regular and wet wading is over for the season.
But the Mataura Mayfly hatch is in full swing most afternoons and the fishing has been excellent most days and I’m aldready planning next years raids across ‘the Ditch’.
Well done.

Joel ThompsonMemberI was uploading some pictures from one of my cameras today and came across this photo and had to add it to this post. Not a chip you see everyday, but I have to admit they were pretty darn good.
