    what did you finally decide on?
    A lot of good reading here, but
    now the decision is yours. Just
    make it a rod that you ENJOY to
    cast, something that is going to
    get you on the water even when
    the conditions aren’t perfect.

    Regan – the drift and twitch method with crawdad, hellgrammite and baitfish streamers catch most of my fish. Twitching/crawling it along the bottom works well if current is slow enough to bump the bottom.

    Downstream approach w short quick strips works well for topwater flies during warmer months.
