I hope you guys will forgive my indulgence, but Im happier than a dog with two d&^%s 😮 😮
Ivebeen in and out of boats since I was about 5 I reckon but its been a while since I owned one. I tell you I shed tears when I had to sell my v-bottom when I left Tasmania.
Anyway After the move to Cotter midyear I focussed on the new job in the fly shop, and kinda let guiding slide a little while I worked out what needed to be done, and looked around for a new boat.
I did love my old Clacka, drift boats are sweet but the White River jon boat is more practical for the type of water we have here. No boats are perfect, so I’ll probably add a drift boat down the track.
And in the White River boat stakes no one is better than supreme, I bought a 2000 with a 9.9 Merc 4 stroke, all the better for shallow water running. though it will lack a little grunt for serious high water.
Now I don’t have to keep fobbing off my former clientele LOl
gratuitous jon boat pics _ I took the seats out for security.
