    Kenrockwell.com is reporting that Nikon will be releasing the D60 around Christmas. Supposedly a 10mp sensor with fewer features than the D80. Retail for $599 and available in black or silver body.

    Interesting, and not very surprising.

    Once the R&D costs are recouped on the initial run of a camera, it makes perfect sense for the sensor to go down the line and into lesser bodies.

    Zach, you’re one the money with the Nikon lineup. The D3h would probably be the next in line.
    Nikon never intoduced a straight D2 becauses of what they did with the D1 lineup, D1h for sports and journalists, D1x for commercial, editorial etc.
