    Hi Roy,
    Had a D700 for about 3 years now, still saving up for some more glass,
    Looking at the AW 100 though, could certainly get used fishing as I never take the D700 near any water, well, stream side is OK but I do a lot of saltwater fly-fishing and that environment is not good for cameras not designed for the job

    Gary I have the D700 also along with a D300s.

    You have a couple of great cameras there, I’m sure the D700 will fit into the old Nikon “legend” title one day

    Might try out a few waterproof/shockproof cameras at my proshop soon,
