    Do you have to build a lot of thread or dubbing behind the hackle or is it ok if it lays pretty flat when it’s in the water?

    Well…I guess the first question…when you pick up rocks from the streambed or screen the water are there caddis larva found?

    I fished the Green yesterday and not only did I catch my first fish on a soft hackle, it was a soft hackle that I just made up one day (thanks for the inspiration Cameron).

    I don’t have a picture of the fly (or a digital camera) but I’ll see if I can post a picture of the fish.  You guys were right, they take soft hackles pretty hard.
