My Fishing Room

Hey guys –

I’m kinda proud of this room and as I am moving away from here soon I wanted to sort of memorialize it in advance here.  I’ve got stuff organized in what I think is a real good system.  Let me show you:

This is what you see when you walk in the door.  That Simms banner is on the down low, savvy? 😉  The rod rack is the one I made and showed here a while back.

Now the DESK in kinda a weak shot.  The books on the desk are the working library; things I am reading now or have out for reference.  The thread rack screwed to the wall I’m kinda proud of.  Lots of lights.  The white one is a magnifying-see through daylight light.  Notice the WORLD’S UGLIEST PAINTING of the labrador above.  That one convinced me painting ain’t my thing.

This is the other side of the door, a coat and bag rack I made with leftover rod rack parts.  They’re stained the same and look pretty decent for a hacker like me, I think.

This is the computer I use to make the site with a bunch of my gear stacked around it.  This stuff is often in my car but it’s all here for now.  Note the waterproof camera bag.

My desk drawers on one side have these stacked Plano boxes with those Tiemco magnetic hook holders saved and fitted down in there, with appropriate labels to let me know what’s what.

This is the other side’s drawer.  I found these bins, which fit the sides perfectly, so they float over a bunch of other junk like flashlights, etc.  

This is probably the biggest smack yourself in the head innovation I’ve come up with.  I’m sure others are doing this as well.  Hanging file folders for materials!  Works great!

Thanks for the ideas, I’m ready to poach some promo swag and re-do my unused back bedroom. I really like the desk drawer with the hanging file folders to organize. I think I’m going to get a cork board and use plastic hanging files that hang on pins to hold necks and capes so that they’re in front of my desk and in easy open reach.
