Well, I went and tried my first attempt at a slideshow.  Figured I would share it with everyone.  I learned quite a bit on this one, and can’t wait to do another one after we are settled in the new house.

That’s a great job, Matt. Nice effect. It’s fun to create isn’t it?

I think John P. had a note earlier in a recent post that talked about copyright issues with the music. You need to use canned buy out music, so you stay away from the infringement issue, or go to the trouble of getting the use permissions which is both a pain in the butt and expensive. There are several good sources out there now for “royalty-free” music. I buy just the piece I want rather than the cds. More expensive that way but you build a unique collection of reusable stuff.

I use Pro Show Gold, but it is a windows only platform. Very nice transitions and easy to use, but I’m not sure the outputs work across all platforms and hardware. Still, it work fine for my presentations on my laptop and desktop.

Pretty good for a first attempt. The pictures look nice, but here’s a couple of pointers that IMHO would make the slide show a little better.

    1. loose the ken burns effect.

I think that is Ben Harper

    Matt,
Awesome! I am trying myself, just having trouble with getting started.
BTW, and I should prob. know this, but what is the song/artist/etc. playing in the show?
