    I wouldn’t worry about it for bass.  LMBs generally hit anything they can’t simply inhale right on the head.  

    I will warn you that clousers that large out of slinky fiber tend to foul like crazy though.

    If you want to tie really big striper flies look into this stuff called Polar Pony.
