Guys –
I have the crawl stroke maneuver down, and as everyone says it is like rubbing your belly and patting your head all at once. However, I don’t seem to get much actual lateral movement out of it, so I think there must be a nuance I’m missing.
Is there supposed to be a slight ferrying angle as well? I’m kind of doing that but at a certain point the temptation is to switch back to back-rowing.
How deep is the sweeping oar supposed to be? I think I may be pushing water into the boat side rather than under it. Are you supposed to adopt a deeper position for the sweep?
Appreciate the help,
Zach
