I took a few extra days this weekend to bust across the Dakota high plains and spend some time on both the Crow and Blackfeet Indian Reservations in Montana, two sworn enemies that hold some of the biggest fish in MT on their lands.
I met a friend in Fort Smith who hooked me up with a skiff and I was able to fish a short stretch before I had meet a friend in Billings in order to start heading up to the Blackfeet.
You just got to love those winds on the Rocky Moutain Front in Montana! Doesn’t sound like the report I gave you was very helpful in hooking the big boys. 🙁 Let’s just blame that on the wind.

I wrote the info you gave me down on a piece of paper that was in a Blackfoot guide book that was forgotten in Billings…So we winged it.
