    I’ve found this to be a time saving tip for for making eyes for crawfish, some smaller shrimp and crab patterns, and especially mysis shrimp–and apologize if it has been around for awhile. But, black rubber legs in appropriate sizes eliminates knotting and burning the mono and cinches a lot easier.

    And the mysis shrimp can be modified to represent black fly larvae, or just white midges, by trimming down the leg material and covering with a couple more wraps of white thread.
